Questions, bugs or a page that didn’t import well: write to support@getsomesay.com.

Requirements

An iPhone with iOS 27.1 or later. somesay reads English text.

Saving from Safari

Open the article in Safari, tap Share, then somesay. If somesay isn’t in the row, tap More, then Edit Actions, and turn it on.

Links shared from other apps aren’t downloaded. Open them in Safari and share from there, or paste the text.

A page didn’t import completely

Some pages can’t be captured in full. Paste the text instead, and send the link to support so I can look at it.

The natural voice

It’s optional and uses about 550 MB. Download it in Settings > Models, then choose it in Settings > Voice & Playback > Speech Engine. Remove it in Settings > Models to free the space. The English voices already on your iPhone need no download.

Titles

somesay uses the publisher’s title when a page has a clear one. Otherwise it writes a short title on device with Apple Intelligence, where available, or uses the first sentence.

Listening in the background

Lock your iPhone and keep listening. Use the Lock Screen, Control Center or AirPods to control playback. To play on another speaker, choose AirPlay from the system media controls.

Up Next

Touch and hold an article, then choose Play Next or Add to Queue. Reorder or remove items in Up Next from the player. Turn on Continue from Library to keep listening to unfinished articles, oldest first, when the queue ends.

Widgets, controls and Siri

Add Continue Listening or Recent Articles from the widget gallery, and Resume Listening or Add Text from Control Center. Ask Siri or use Shortcuts to resume, play a saved article, or save text without starting playback.

Your data

Everything stays on your iPhone. Delete an article to remove its text and audio; deleting the app removes everything. See the privacy policy.
